How to Measure Your Trampoline Jump Mat Correctly
Getting an exact fit for your replacement jump mat is crucial for safety, bounce, and proper installation. Please follow these step-by-step instructions carefully before ordering.
1. Measuring an Existing Jump Mat
Fabric Only: Lay your tape measure flat straight across the black jumping surface. Measure from edge-to-edge of the fabric only.
DO NOT Include V-Rings or Springs: Exclude the metal V-rings, webbing, and springs completely from this length. We only need the measurement of the black mat fabric itself.
2. What to Do If Your Jump Mat Has a Rip or Tear
Never stretch your tape measure directly across a tear or rip. A tear releases fabric tension, which distorts the mat and makes your measurement look wider than it actually is.
Square & Rectangle Mats: Measure along an intact side where there are no rips or tears.
Round Mats: Measure parallel along the direction of the tear (or across an intact section of the mat) so the gap does not artificially expand your overall measurement.
3. Measuring Without a Jump Mat (Frame & Spring Method)
If you no longer have your original jump mat, you will need to measure your frame and your springs.
Measure Spring Hole to Spring Hole: Measure straight across the middle of the frame from the inside edge of one spring hole to the spring hole directly opposite it.
DO NOT Measure Outside-to-Outside Frame: Measuring the outer tubing of the frame is inaccurate because frame rail thickness varies significantly between manufacturers (ranging anywhere from 2 inches to 6 inches thick).

1. Measure Off the Trampoline: Unhook a spring and measure it completely unattached (from hook tip to hook tip).
2. Perform "The Shake Test": Hold the spring in your hand and shake it. If it feels wobbly, loose, or has gaps between the coils, the spring is "sprung" (stretched out) and needs to be replaced. A healthy spring must be tight and rigid.
4. Count Your V-Rings / Spring Holes
Count the exact number of V-rings attached to your old mat, OR count the exact number of spring holes around your metal frame.
